What to Expect
We know that showing up to a new place for the first time can be intimidating, but at The Avenue Church it’s our desire that you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the parking lot! As a first-time guest, you are VIP to us so we'll be there with you every step of the way!
Come As You Are
At The Avenue Church, there is no dress code! Some people show up in suits, and others wear jeans and t-shirts. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Bring the Kids
Our service is geared for children and adults alike. The care and growth of every child is our highest priority and our passion is to create exciting, Bible-driven, interactive environments especially designed for your kids! While the adults explore bible truths in a relaxed manner, activities are available for the kids based on their ages! Following that is our time to share what's happening in our community and to explore Biblical truths that relate to our every day lives. After the service we fellowship together around a great potluck meal. Don't worry that you didn't bring anything you are our guest and we are more than happy to share.

We understand that worship services are a celebration of doing life together with the spiritual community that we share, and our main day of celebration is the Sabbath day. We have a cycle of seven Sabbaths. Some have a regular program, and some have other unique goals:
Regular Sabbath – During a regular Sabbath program we share three distinct moments:
Classes: an opportunity to learn how Jesus' teachings relate to our lives.
Worship Service: a deeper look at restoring our relationship with Jesus.
Lunch: a social gathering as our community shares a fellowship meal.
Be the Church Sabbath – It’s one of the most exciting worship services we have. Once every cycle, the members of The Avenue Church become a living sermon, an agent of hope and compassion through intentional acts of love and service.
Children’s Church Sabbath – It’s a worship service dedicated to the younger generation. It happens every other cycle and has the participation of all children in our community, and they are encouraged to invite their little friends and families to attend the program as well.
Coffee House Sabbath – It’s when we gather to socialize, connect and share stories, music, poems, and such. We usually start with Brunch, followed by a moment where everyone is welcome and free to share!
Jubilee Sabbath - Because of the hustle and bustle of our lives today, even with our church life, being so busy serving the Lord, we don't have an opportunity to be in silence before God and contemplate His love and majesty. In order to help create a space and an opportunity to be in silence before the Lord, we celebrate the Jubilee Sabbath. During the seventh and last Sabbath of the cycle, The Avenue Church does not host a worship service or a program during the Jubilee Sabbath, so every one of our spiritual community can have a space to enjoy God, His creation and His community in a remarkable way.
